One year ago, on this very date, we celebrated our first birthday: the Boxe Punch website, launched on June 18, 2024, had officially blown out its first candle. To celebrate that special occasion with all of you, we published an article (click here to read it) in which we put into words the progress, achievements, and milestones reached during our first 365 days of life. Today, after another adventurous year full of twists and turns, we can proudly say that our results have done far more than simply double. Borrowing a famous advertising slogan from the 1990s, two has truly been better than one!
In terms of both national and international visibility, our articles have experienced remarkable growth. We went from 53,252 views during our first year to 142,494 during our second, meaning that readership has nearly tripled. Our ambition is to reach numbers far higher than these, and we are convinced that we will. However, the significant leap forward achieved over the past year reassures us that we are on the right path and encourages us to pursue even greater goals.
If the audience of Boxe Punch readers has grown significantly, our Facebook community has quite literally exploded. One year ago, we were celebrating the fact that our page had reached 5,770 followers, a figure that seemed enormous for a niche sport such as boxing. Today, we have surpassed 86,700 followers, and the growth process has not slowed down. On the contrary, it continues day after day.
Among the factors behind such an extraordinary increase (equal to 1,403%) are undoubtedly our videos, which have become a distinctive feature of the page and are appreciated for their incredible variety. Every day we bring you a magical moment from boxing history, traveling across decades, weight classes, and locations to spark your curiosity and satisfy your hunger for great boxing.
Alongside an increasingly targeted management of our Facebook page, we have worked hard to enrich the website with new and engaging content, remaining firmly committed to our philosophy of speaking plainly and fearlessly, calling things exactly as we see them. Our determination to express strong opinions without filters has occasionally caused some discontent, but we firmly believe that the readers who appreciate our straightforward style greatly outnumber those who have felt offended or scandalized when we chose not to treat their favorite fighter with kid gloves.
Thanks to the success achieved so far, and to the growing expectations surrounding us, the third year of Boxe Punch’s existence promises to be full of challenges. Having cast off the moorings and sailed with favorable winds, our next challenge is to avoid becoming stagnant, to refuse complacency, and to resist dropping anchor in calm waters out of fear of unexpected storms.
We firmly believe that when the people behind a project stop innovating, stop aiming higher, and stop questioning themselves in favor of embracing the status quo, they are destined to watch their creation decline and their prospects fade away. For this reason, we will continue rowing with all our strength toward even more fascinating shores filled with hidden treasures.
We will do so by expanding our presence at live boxing events, convinced that boxing has an entirely different flavor when experienced from ringside and that close contact with those who make it possible—from fighters and trainers to managers—is essential to telling its stories with the depth and detail they deserve.
We will do so by striving to raise the quality of our articles even further and by continuing our regular features. The latest of these, “The Coach’s Corner,” will return very soon and will introduce you to the stories, personalities, and ideas of other great trainers from our country.
We will do so by strengthening our brand and working to make it a familiar reference point for the majority of Italian boxing fans, also through special initiatives involving immortal heroes of Italian boxing history.
