In the spectacular setting of The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, fans were treated to an outstanding night of world-class boxing, promoted through a collaboration between five different promotional companies. In the co-main event, Raymond Muratalla (24-0, 17 KOs) defeated veteran Brazilian Robson Conceição (21-3-1, 10 KOs), the 37-year-old Olympic gold medalist from the Rio Games. Muratalla successfully defended his IBF lightweight title with a unanimous decision victory, winning by scores of 118-110, 119-109, and 119-109.

Conceição came out aggressively, opening with a sharp left hook, but Muratalla looked composed from the outset, responding with quick combinations. The pace was measured early on, allowing both fighters to study each other without holding back.
The defending champion looked extremely solid, answering nearly every attack from the Brazilian, who moved well on his feet and established a steady rhythm with his left hand.
Muratalla’s calm expression reflected confidence and complete focus. In the third round, he began working effectively behind his jab before landing a crisp straight right. In the fifth round, Conceição attempted to raise the pace with straight rights and left hooks that frequently found the target, but he also left himself open to Muratalla’s fast counter-combinations. The American constantly changed the intensity of his attacks, preventing the experienced challenger from settling into a rhythm.
The sixth round saw a significant increase in tempo. Conceição circled around the ring while Muratalla controlled the center and applied constant pressure. Much of the action unfolded at mid-range, with both men exchanging quality punches.
The battle continued with both fighters displaying excellent conditioning, maintaining a high work rate while absorbing each other’s shots.
Muratalla kept pressing forward relentlessly, while Conceição never stopped moving. The Brazilian landed several impressive left uppercuts to the champion’s chin, but Muratalla resembled a machine—always advancing, always applying pressure, and always ready to unleash his dangerous straight right hand.
By the tenth round, the champion shifted into another gear. His jab repeatedly snapped Conceição’s head back, his combinations became even faster, and his relentless aggression left the challenger with few opportunities to respond effectively.
The final three minutes returned to an all-out exchange, just as many had expected. Both fighters traded heavy punches, showing great respect for one another while refusing to give an inch.
It was a true contest between two outstanding professionals.
Muratalla earned a unanimous decision victory, successfully defending his IBF title for the second time. In his post-fight interview, he revealed that he had struggled badly to make weight, strongly suggesting that a move to a higher weight class is imminent.
As for Conceição, the 37-year-old deserves enormous credit. Despite his age, he absorbed the champion’s heavy punches, displayed flashes of his outstanding skill, and never stopped fighting until the final bell.
