Last night, the tenth event promoted by TAF (The Art of Fighting), the promotion headed by Edoardo Germani, took place at the Centro Pavesi in Milan. Seven high-level professional bouts unfolded in the ring, offering plenty of action, knockdowns, and twists. Below is the full list of results.
In the much-anticipated light heavyweight rematch between Mohamed Elmaghraby and Stiven Leonetti Dredhaj — a semifinal for the Italian title — Elmaghraby came out on top, winning by unanimous decision.
The only title bout of the evening was won in dominant fashion by rising star Francesco Paparo, who successfully defended his Italian super featherweight title by knocking out Nicola Henchiri in the second round with a brutal right hook.
The highly anticipated clash between unbeaten middleweight prospects Valerio Mantovani and Francesco Magrì ended in victory for the latter due to a doctor’s stoppage at the start of the sixth and final round. Magrì scored two knockdowns and delivered a stellar performance. Mantovani fought bravely and strongly protested the stoppage, which was called due to excessive bleeding.
In the cruiserweight division, Vincenzo Lizzi earned the third straight win of his pro career, remaining undefeated with a points victory over Francesco Coppola.
Super featherweight Catalin Ionescu won clearly on points, fully living up to expectations against the experienced Bosnian journeyman Luka Veljovic.
The women’s super bantamweight bout between Veronica Tosi and Cristina Garganese featured high pace and intensity. Tosi emerged victorious on points, thanks to a strong second half of the fight.
In an explosive cruiserweight showdown between heavy hitters, Komi Paul Amefiam stopped Booba Diouf in four rounds, notching the fifth win of his pro career and handing his opponent his first defeat.
