World heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has defeated many of the best British boxers of this generation, facing almost all of them in the UK. Joe Joyce (during the World Series of Boxing), Tony Bellew, Dereck Chisora, Anthony Joshua, Daniel Dubois, and Tyson Fury have all tasted the bitter cup of defeat when faced with the Ukrainian star. Now, Usyk has been asked to determine who among them has been the best in each specific boxing department. These are the answers Usyk gave during an interview with Boxing King Media:
Most Powerful: Chisora
Fastest: Bellew
Best Defense: Fury
Best Footwork: Bellew
Best Boxing IQ: Fury
Easiest Opponent: Joyce
Toughest Opponent: Fury
The most surprising answer is the one that attributes more power to Chisora than to punchers like Joshua and Dubois, who are seemingly more explosive and deadly than the colorful Del Boy. Also notable is the complete absence of Joshua from Usyk’s mentions: evidently, during their two fights, AJ did not particularly impress the current world champion in any specific attribute, although he fought with great determination, especially in the rematch.
