We are pleased to publish the following press release from The Art Of Fighting regarding the event scheduled for May 23 at the Allianz Cloud.
Just over a week before TAF 13, set to take place on Saturday, May 23 at the Allianz Cloud in Milan, Dario Morello has been forced to withdraw from the evening’s main event against Paolo Bologna due to a two-centimeter tear in his biceps brachii muscle.
TAF founder Edoardo Germani immediately moved to find a replacement opponent for Bologna and, despite the extremely limited timeframe, reached an agreement with Federico Schininà, keeping the vacant EBU Silver middleweight title — relinquished by Morello — on the line.
Schininà, an Argentine fighter holding Italian citizenship, had more than 80 amateur bouts, including experience with the Italian national team. As a professional, he owns a record of 12 wins and 4 losses, and has already captured both an Italian and an international title. He previously faced Bologna in 2024 for the Italian championship belt, losing on points after an action-packed fight contested at a very high pace, constantly pressing forward punch by punch. He is a complete fighter with tremendous heart, but also possesses the skills to box technically.
Bologna stated:
“It remains a very important fight, one where I’ll be competing for a crucial belt in my career path. Morello got lucky — I’m in tremendous shape and it would have been a huge problem for him. I wish him a speedy recovery and hope he trains well because this fight will happen soon.”
Germani confirmed:
“Morello vs. Bologna has only been postponed. We want to give Dario enough time to recover properly and then we’ll organize it again, hopefully before the end of the year.”
The rest of the card has been confirmed, including the co-main event featuring Jonathan Kogasso (18-0) challenging for the EBU Silver cruiserweight title against Ukrainian Ramazan Muslimov (10-0) in a clash of unbeaten fighters. Kogasso, who recently obtained Italian citizenship, can finally test himself at European level thanks to the long-term management strategy implemented by TAF. Muslimov has scored seven knockout victories and arrives in Milan highly motivated in search of a major result.
The excitement continues with the highly anticipated light heavyweight showdown between another undefeated fighter, Mohamed Elmaghraby (14-0), already an Italian champion, and Vincenzo Lizzi (4-0). The difference in records should not be misleading: Lizzi, cousin of Dario Morello, won medals at the Youth Olympic Games, European Championships and World Championships as an amateur. He now aims to rise quickly through the professional ranks, but Elmaghraby is in outstanding form and has no intention of slowing down. Moreover, the personal rivalry between the two is genuine and intense.
Earlier on the card, the semifinals for the Italian title will take place: Yassin Hermi (15-3, 1 draw) returns to face Joshua Nmomah (14-3) at super middleweight, while Valerio Mantovani (6-1) will meet experienced veteran Maxim Prodan (24-2, 1 draw) at super welterweight. Both fights promise high technical quality and competitiveness, with very uncertain predictions.
Opening the event will be the light heavyweight contest between Yohan Acosta (4-0) and Inoussa Nonkane (3-3), the return of Gianluca Merone (2-2, 1 draw) against veteran Fabio Cascone (4-13) at middleweight, and the TAF debut of Gerardo Scalcione (3-0) at super lightweight against Luca Grusovin (1-3, 1 draw), a former kickboxing world champion.
