Ennis obliterates Lima: TKO in the first round!

At the event organized in Philadelphia by Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn’s promotion, the main event featured the WBA Interim Super Welterweight title on the line.
The show took place at the Xfinity Mobile Arena, headlined by Jaron “Boots” Ennis (34 wins, 0 losses, 30 KOs) against Uisma “Monstro” Lima (14 wins, 1 loss, 10 KOs).

The result? As expected, Boots dominated his first title fight in the new weight class — but did so in devastating fashion, closing the show in the very first round with a brutal technical knockout. Fast and precise two-handed combinations, just as the phenom has always displayed, but his right hook once again proved to be a lethal weapon, overwhelming Lima, who was unable to respond.

The first knockdown came from a violent four-punch combination: a right uppercut to the body followed by three consecutive hooks to the head (right, left, and right again) that could have floored a bull.

Lima got back up and courageously tried to regain control, but was quickly overwhelmed by a barrage of punches, with the right hook once again playing the decisive role, sending him to the canvas for the second time.

Another flurry of blows stunned the unfortunate Angolan fighter, trapped in the corner and unable to defend himself, until the referee compassionately stepped in — just as Lima’s corner threw in the towel — to stop the fight.

After reigning in the Welterweight division, Ennis now makes a statement at Super Welterweight, extending his record to 35–0 with an impressive 31 KOs.
Following the verdict, he spoke confidently: “This is my division. I’m coming for whoever’s got the belts.”

His words clearly point toward future showdowns with champions Sebastian Fundora, Xander Zayas, Bakhram Murtazaliev, and Abass Baraou. However, Ennis could soon be matched against the aggressive American puncher Vergil Ortiz Jr, provided Ortiz defeats Erickson Lubin on November 8. In fact, Eddie Hearn confirmed that an agreement between the two undefeated fighters has already been reached for early 2026.

In short, Ennis has declared war — and every boxing fan knows he’s got the weapons to back it up. So, who will truly be next?
