Everything is set for “Gloves of Glory III”, a very interesting event taking place this Saturday at the PalaFerroli in San Bonifacio (Verona), organized by Riccardo Bizzo’s Italian Ringside Promotion.
The rematch between Damiano Falcinelli and Mohammed Graich promises fireworks and intense emotions. Explosive exchanges and heavy punches are also expected in the clash between two hard-hitting giants, Angelo Morejon and Danijal Alagic. Boxe Punch will be ringside with a correspondent to bring you every thrill of this great boxing night.
Mohammed Graich vs Damiano Falcinelli 2 – Vacant Italian Super Welterweight Title
Two offensive-minded, sometimes even reckless fighters who love to keep their foot on the gas rarely fail to produce excitement when they share the same ring. And indeed, the night Mohammed Graich and Damiano Falcinelli first met this summer in Piazza Broletto, Mantua, the fans in attendance witnessed an absolutely thrilling battle.
It was a fight with two distinct halves: the first part was comfortably controlled by Graich, thanks to his composure, superior technique, and high punch output; the second saw Falcinelli’s overwhelming physicality take over, with furious two-fisted attacks and a dominant final round.
A draw was a fair outcome in my opinion — and an immediate rematch is even fairer.
To prevail this time, Graich will need to manage his energy wisely: last July he burned through much of it early on and was visibly exhausted by the end, allowing Falcinelli’s comeback. As for Falcinelli, he’ll need to work more consistently; relying once again on sporadic bursts of aggression might not be enough to take the title home.
Angelo Morejon vs Danijal Alagic – Vacant WBC Mediterranean Bridgerweight Title
Alagic has publicly admitted he only knows one way to fight: by coming forward and looking for the knockout. The unbeaten Bosnian, with fourteen professional bouts to his name, is a pure pressure fighter who has already experienced the thrill of battling in hostile territory. In 2023, he held Gino Freo’s protégé Sergiu Sinigur to a draw in Piove di Sacco, and later that same year he knocked out Patrick Schaefer in just two rounds in Germany.
Angelo Morejon will find himself in the kind of tactical scenario he enjoys most. The Cuban boxer, now based in Italy, loves to face aggressive opponents: he once even told his trainer Emanuele Orlando that he’d like to fight Agit Kabayel, the dangerous German powerhouse currently ranked among the world’s elite.
To overcome his relentless rival, Angelo will need to make clever use of his left hand to control distance and disrupt Alagic’s rhythm and timing. He must also exploit the Bosnian’s tendency to charge straight forward, punishing him with sharp counterpunches whenever the opportunity arises.
This is a very serious test, one that could challenge Morejon’s chin, mental focus, and conditioning. Passing it convincingly would further fuel “El Terrible’s” dreams of glory and propel him toward major international opportunities.
