In recent days, a series of announcements have been made, and now boxing fans see several big fights on the horizon. Following the explosive news of the agreement between David Benavidez and David Morrell, which we talked about two days ago, other exciting updates have improved the mood of boxing enthusiasts. In this piece, we briefly present three must-see matchups whose organization seems well underway.

Sebastian Fundora vs Errol Spence Jr

Errol Spence’s decision to move up in weight and immediately take on a brave challenge, without opting for easier warm-up fights, has been a hot topic for some time. However, his willingness to immediately face the WBC and WBO world champion Sebastian Fundora seemed hindered by Terence Crawford’s regulatory priority.

However, Crawford has recently decided to step aside, allowing Fundora to make a voluntary defense, a decision that opens the door for Spence. Nevertheless, Spence’s physical and mental condition, following the brutal defeat in the summer of 2023 against Crawford, eye surgery, and prolonged inactivity, remains a significant unknown.

Brandon Figueroa vs Stephen Fulton 2

Figueroa and Fulton already fought in November 2021 in the super bantamweight division to unify the WBC and WBO world titles. On that occasion, Fulton won by Majority Decision after a spectacular and extremely intense fight that “Cool Boy” edged thanks to an excellent final stretch.

Since then, however, Figueroa seems to have made the most progress, and the new featherweight division, where both now compete, might better suit the bulky Texan brawler. This is a fight to watch with an uncertain outcome, likely to take place on December 14 in Houston as the co-main event of Gervonta Davis vs Lamont Roach.

Rafael Espinoza vs Robeisy Ramirez 2

Once again, we are about to witness a rematch. Espinoza and Ramirez previously fought in December 2023. At the time, the Cuban Ramirez was the reigning WBO world champion, while the Mexican Espinoza was considered by most observers to be an underdog with slim chances of victory. However, the fight defied expectations.

Espinoza quickly took the lead in the early rounds with an overwhelming work rate, only to be brutally knocked down in the final stages of the fifth round, struggling to recover afterward. Yet another shift in momentum occurred in the final third of the fight, with Ramirez, seemingly exhausted, suffering once more and eventually getting knocked down himself in the closing seconds of the match, rightfully losing on points. Will the Cuban be able to reclaim his throne on December 7?

These and other big fights on the horizon should make the coming months truly thrilling for those who follow the Sweet Science closely.
