My name is Mario Salomone.
Probably some Italian boxing enthusiasts have already come across my name by reading my articles published online over the past years.
A sports lover since childhood, I began to take an interest in boxing at the age of seventeen and have never stopped since.
The Noble Art is a discipline I practiced briefly in an amateur capacity, but I have studied and analyzed it meticulously, watching thousands of fights, reading historical books and articles dedicated to the subject, and discussing animatedly with professionals, boxers, trainers, and simple enthusiasts from all over the world.
All this has allowed me to collaborate with various Italian organizations dedicated to sports information, cultivating alongside my profession of teaching, the role of a sports editor.
A profession always performed on a voluntary basis, driven solely by my passion for boxing, which has led me to dedicate hours and hours of my time to research, watching fights attentively, writing, and revising to compose my articles.
I did this for editorial realities that unfortunately no longer exist, so I decided to create a new project, entirely my own.
In doing so, I have recovered some articles from my previous experience to which I am particularly attached and that I want to share with you, naturally alongside new and original production.
On these pages, you will find in-depth studies on the history of boxing, analyses, presentations, and reports of major world-level fights, interviews with great Italian and international protagonists of this sport, thoughtful reflections on the most significant events making headlines, and much more.
To make this project accessible to as many boxing enthusiasts as possible worldwide, I made the ambitious decision to make all articles available not only in Italian but also in English and Spanish.
Supporting and sometimes accompanying me in this project will be my partner Vitalba Tanzarella, a former athlete, former editor and above all a boxing enthusiast.
If readers appreciate our work, we will consider expanding the team by bringing on board other collaborators who share our passion and ideas about how boxing should be told and experienced. In the meantime, let’s put on the gloves, bite down on the mouthguard, and climb the fateful steps leading to the ring, awaiting the fateful sound of the bell!
